Xtra Maths

This is my score for Xtra Maths for this week. I only got one wrong one slow four ticks and the rest were good and the rest I got them all right.

10 Times Tables

This is a time tables challenge that I have done. This took me 15 seconds to do. I did the 10 times tables because its easy and because I want to learn my times tables like 6 , 7 and 8.

9 Times Table

This is a game that I have played on 9 time tables.

Don't Subtract Add

  1. Moana has $81 and she gives her friend $18. How much money does Moana have left?
18 + 2 = 20
20 + 60 = 80
80 + 1 = 81
18 + 63 = 81 so 81 - 18 = 63
  1. Jake collected $75 from his pocket money to buy a present for his mum. The present only costs $39 so how much change does he have?
39 + 1 = 40
39 + 1 = 40
40 + 30 = 70
70 + 5 = 75
39 + 36 = 75 so 75 - 39 = 36

   3. Dad takes $93 with him to the fair. He comes back      with $57. How much did he spend?
57 + 3 = 60
60 + 30 = 90
90 + 3 = 93
57 +36 = 93 so 93 - 57 = 36
4. At the park the lolly seller has collected in $103.
She has to pay $88 out for buying lollies for the next day. How much money does she have left?
88 + 2 = 90
90 + 10 = 100
100 + 3 = 103
88 + 15 = 103 so 103 - 88 = 15
5.Sam has $110 and spends $89 on some playstation games he wanted. How much money does he have left?
89 + 1 = 90
90 + 10 = 100
100 + 10 = 110
89 + 21 = 110 so 110 - 89 = 21
6.  I start shopping with $64 and come home with $38. How much did I spend when I was out shopping?
38 + 2 = 40
40 + 20 = 60
60 + 4 = 64
38 + 26 = 64 so 64 - 38 = 26
7. I wanted to collect $100 for charity, but only managed to get $82. How much less than $100 is that?
82 + 8 = 90
90 + 10 = 100
100 - 82 = 18

The hard thing for me was:
Thinking in my head fast without using a calculator
Using Multiplication in my head

What I have learnt:
I have learnt to plus and to take away little numbers from big numbers
I have learnt to use more multiplication

My speech

Homework should be banned forever

Greetings students and Mrs Anderson. Every week your teacher gives you homework. Remember when your teacher gave you loads and loads of homework, when you used to stay in class if you didn’t finish it, and how it stresses you out so much.

It should be a students choice as to whether they want do homework or not.

Would you love it if you’re teacher gave you the responsibility to choose whether or not you had to do  homework, I think yes because why should we have to do homework at home when we finish all of our learning in class?

I think if we didn’t have to do  homework we wouldn’t have to do any learning at home. I also think that if you love homework it should be your choice to do work at home.  Homework is a waste time outside of class, because a teacher isn’t there to help you.

If we do homework at home we wouldn’t be able to have fun outside because your brain will get hooked into your learning.
Having the choice of whether or not  you want to do homework lets you take

Did you know that homework can cause stress also homework can make you depressed, Too much homework throws your life away and also did you know that homework was introduced by Roberto Nevilis from italy in 1095
Some students find it  to balance homework with homelife

Do you think we should have homework? I think we shouldn’t why because it’s a pain in the brain.

If you don’t want over  loads of homework show your teacher that you are responsible for your own learning and can make responsible decisions without  homework being compolsary.

Do you think we should have homework? I think we shouldn’t why because it’s a pain in the brain.
